For 2022, our congregation decided to work on a project to help our community at large here in Harriman TN. We are making a Community Blessing Box to provide to anyone who has need of some of the contents of this box. Items donated will include non-perishable foods, simple housekeeping items and books and other reading materials. The idea of this box is that anyone locally may “take what they need and leave what they can.” 

Chris Walker, manager of Christmas Lumber Company here in Harriman, donated materials that will furnish 68% of the building requirements. Members of the congregation donated funds to complete the materials list, and Curtis McClane is constructing the box with his outstanding carpentry skills.

Keep an eye on the progress on this page. The box is now in place at the church building. Now, we will fill it with donations and add a sign. Then the building phase of this project will be completed, and ongoing maintenance AND love offerings will (Lord willing) continue on.
