About Us
Matthew 18:20
For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
Since our establishment in 1924, we have been a local congregation in the city of Harriman, Tennessee
- Our 100th anniversary is coming soon!
- We are heirs of the American Restoration Movement—which has its roots in the Second Great Awakening that began around 1800.
- That makes us part of the first indigenous religious movement to be founded in America.
- We do not claim to be the only Christians–we are trying to be Christians only.
Who We Are
Please come visit us!
We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the Hadean world of the dead. On the third day he was raised from the dead by God. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he is presently ministering, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the visible church as the universal kingdom of God on earth, the communion of saints, the forgive-ness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
We believe that God inspired all Scripture which is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness. This means that the man and woman of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
We believe we are saved by the grace, love, and mercy of God.
